Seattle, WA · Full-stack engineer

Trevor Leeman

I build market intelligence platforms, end to end.

Founder of OSRS Exchange, a real-time Grand Exchange trading platform used by 40,000+ players every month.

01 · Flagship

OSRS Exchange

A real-time Grand Exchange trading platform for Old School RuneScape.

Founder · Product Designer · Full-Stack Engineer · DevOps Engineer

Players see live prices, alerts, and profit calculators. Underneath is a real business: a NestJS and Postgres backend built for time-series price data, paid subscriptions through Stripe, OAuth sign-in, rate limiting, and Sentry monitoring on both ends. One person designs, builds, and operates all of it.

02 · Experience

Eight years of shipping software that pays for itself.

Every role here has the same shape: embed with the people who own a problem, learn the domain fast, and own the fix end to end. That is the forward deployed engineer’s job description, and I was doing it before the title existed.

I’m also an AI-native engineer. Agentic coding tools run through my daily workflow: I plan with them, delegate implementation to them, and review everything they produce before it ships. That leverage is a big part of how one person designs, builds, and operates all of OSRS Exchange.

Senior Software Engineer

M3 USA · Promoted from Software Engineer in 2024

I build the interactive products M3 sells into the healthcare market, and the Turborepo platform they run on, owning features from architecture through CI/CD.

  • High six figures in deals unlocked by an interactive chat product I spearheaded
  • Endless puzzles from an AI generation pipeline I built for Medical Matchup, a Connections-style quiz game
  • 10x serverless cost reduction from a new caching strategy

Web Application Developer

Everett Community College

The original forward deployed role. I sat inside the college, found the department workflows that hurt, and shipped full-stack fixes: an inventory system built around barcode scanners, a modernized class schedule, advisor workload balancing, and a student ID migration across dozens of databases.

Student Web Developer

Central Washington University

Developed and maintained cwu.edu on an Agile Scrum team. I also ran weekly workshops that trained and certified departmental content managers: half the job was building the site, the other half was teaching people to run their corner of it.

03 · How I work

The way I build.

UX before everything

01

Traders make split-second decisions; the interface can’t be the bottleneck. I obsess over speed, hierarchy, and the details users feel but never notice.

Full-stack, end to end

02

From schema design to pixel polish: React and Next.js frontends, NestJS APIs, Postgres data layers. One owner, no handoffs.

Runs in production

03

Self-hosting enthusiast with an IT background. Docker images, CI pipelines, Sentry on both ends. I ship it, monitor it, and keep it up.

04 · About

I’m a software engineer in Seattle with an IT background and an optimizer’s brain.

I run a homelab, self-host what I can, and believe the best products come from engineers who sweat both the database and the drop shadow. Currently building OSRS Exchange.

Tic Tac Toe, from the pre-AI era.

Every line of game logic, styling, and animation crafted by hand. What a concept these days. The board grows past 3×3, and the whole thing installs as a PWA.
